Pros:

The Hertz staff at the Fairport facility was very friendly and helpful. Car was in nice shape, nice to drive

Cons:

To avoid paying an extra fee to extend rental you cannot use the local Hertz counter, you have to call the national number. Had to wait for help and then they were not helpful. The Kayak deal was great at $21. per day for the week, but Hertz wanted over $40 per day to extend for two days with fees. Did not extend. Foolish of Hertz to lose the extra rental

The vehicle I ordered was not available, I was offered a different vehicle at a higher rate, no other options were available to me. For the vehicle I picked up was dirt and had a very strong order of marijuana.

I had a terrible experience with Avis. In the past, I’ve had positive experiences, but I can’t say the same this time. When I went to pick up my vehicle, which was a 12 passenger van, I was told that there was no phone number on file to confirm so they did not schedule a van to arrive. I pulled up my confirmation info and could see my email and a valid phone number. The associate insisted that there was none on file. I was very confused since I had even received an email the day before telling me to “enjoy my ride!” There were no other passenger vans available so they were unable to accommodate us that day. This was a trip that had been planned for a long time and I was upset that Avis could not come through. I am very disappointed and will not book through Avis again.

The gas tank was only 3/4 full upon pick-up... However, the rule is to return it with a full tank, so that's about a $15 'surcharge'.

Had a bit of difficulty finding your office. A bigger sign would sure have been helpful, other than that, the lady manning your counter was VERY nice. I know it can be hard finding good help at present, so HANG ON TO HER!

Seemingly everything that could’ve gone wrong happened too. I was given a completely different car that was awful on gas, told the car was full with gas but it was at 3/4 tank (of a 24 gallon tank). The car wreaked of air freshener, no washer fluid so couldn’t see through the windshield the whole drive. Got blackmailed about a cleaning fee when dropping off. The person checked out the car in the first place was the only positive experience. Will not be renting from Budget again.

The lady at the Henrietta location next to Tully’s is the rudest person I’ve ever come across. She was mean to everyone in line, about 9 separate people. She kept complaining she wanted to quit and hated her job and a truck came and took cars from here. She was awful. I will never go to that location again, not even if it was free.
