If you want to visit both national parks, we recommend staying in Moran. This small town is located minutes from the Moran Entrance at Grand Teton National Park and about 2 hours from Yellowstone National Park’s south entrance. Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch boasts rustic rooms and cottages with coffee-makers and private bathrooms. At the restaurant, you can enjoy a homecooked meal and sample local spirits. Buffalo Valley Ranch and Jackson Lake Lodge are also good options.
Although Wyoming does not have big cities, there are plenty of places where you can experience the restaurants, nightlife, and shopping that make a city visit worthwhile. Jackson offers a lively atmosphere, over 30 local art galleries, and a thriving culinary scene. Located near the town square, The Lexington at Jackson Hole offers apartment-style accommodations with refrigerators and microwaves. Just a 5-minute walk from downtown, The Parkway Inn of Jackson Hole has an indoor pool and hot tub as well as spacious rooms.
Located in Jackson, Rustic Inn Creekside offers cozy rooms and rustic cabins with fireplaces, bathtubs or showers, and Western décor. The resort also features an outdoor jacuzzi with views of the surrounding mountains that's the perfect place to watch the stars on a snowy night. Another romantic option is the Chamberlin Inn Cody, which includes thoughtful touches including Belgian chocolates, fresh flowers, and premium linens. The inn also offers an on-site library and a manicured garden filled with flowers in the warmer months.
With expansive wilderness areas and friendly towns, there are plenty of options for a family getaway during the cold winter months or the balmy summer. Located outside of Jackson Hole, and surrounded by trees, Fireside Resort offers the Family Ski Cottage that can sleep up to 6 people and includes a kitchen, inviting living room, and outdoor seating. Country Inn & Suites Gilette features a huge, family-friendly pool in a heated complex and rooms with two queen beds. Guests can also enjoy free hot chocolate and coffee in the lobby.
