When booking your travel plans through Air Kiribati, you are able to decide between three different countries as your final destination: Fiji, Kiribati, and Australia. While the airline has offices in each of these countries, its official hub is considered to be located in Kiribati.
This airline uses 4 different types of planes, resulting in a fleet that consists of 8 different aircrafts. Although the company flies several brands, including Bombardier, Embraer, and De Havilland, their most commonly flown plane is the Harbin Y-12 IV, which can fit up to 17 passengers and is primarily used for short domestic flights. For longer flights that go directly between Fiji and Kiribati, the company opts to use the Bombardier DHC-8-100 Dash 8 instead, as it is a larger choice that can fit up to 37 people.
While Air Kiribati is not part of an airline alliance or a codeshare agreement with many other companies, it does have a partnership with Solomon Airlines, a company which is known for being the national airline of the Solomon Islands. By having this partnership, the two countries are able to share planes, routes, and staff members, and the connection is what initially allowed Air Kiribati to begin flying to Australia.
On certain flights, customers are able to choose from either Economy Class or Business Class. Economy Class provides travelers with standard services and amenities, whereas Business Class comes with additional perks, such as being able to check baggage at no cost, having access to priority boarding and check-in, and receiving free food and beverages during the flight.
