The vehicle was very dirty. It had not been cleaned after the previous use. Very disappointed, especially when COVID and omicron viruses are everywhere these days.

I made reservations for pick up on Saturday. I got a ride from a friend to pick up at 5 Star Aberdeen. Upon arrival, the door posted, “Closed, Saturday and Sunday”. When making the reservations on Kayak, why would it take the reservation or even give me one to a location that’s closed?!? I had a confirmation number and everything. I then had to ask the same friend to drive me an hour away to Olympia, AVIS. Thank god they were open. Hertz, also has the dumbest call center. They don’t give you an option to talk to anyone. The automated phone just keeps saying to go to the website for changes and answers? How and why? I needed live updates on what to do at that moment. No website is going to give me live updates….disappointed in KAYAK. Unacceptable.

We received a confirmation number on Wednesday before supposedly picking the vehicle up on Saturday. Unfortunately when we went to pick up the SUV, they didn't have one . We waited most of the day but none came in. They would have given us a smaller one but I am on oxygen and have a scooter which was the reason we were renting the large SUV, We needed the extra space. Andrew said we would be refunded in full right away. I so hope that is true. That is a lot of money for such a big disappointment 😞

The staff was awesome! AND when I needed a ride back to my hotel, the Manager gladly and with kindness went out of his way to take care of me.

Well they said I put a dent in the hood. First off it’s where hood goes down in the corner and it’s bent a little. The only way too notice is from 1 foot away, At three feet u can’t see anything, Then the girl is like u did this n we’re gonna charge u 500, I’m like how could I have down this cuz cuz there no other marks around the location, u can clearly tell when somebody closed that it got caught n bent in that area. Meanwhile I’m arguing with this girl n the next people behind that we’re gonna rent the car did not even see the what I was talking about even from a foot away, They were like omg this is unnoticeable. Meanwhile my flight was leaving in one hour, so I had to go. There are other car rental places in Olympia, WA, So b aware n there is one right before u down the lane to them that I would use instead of them.. Funny part of story was that the girl kept saying it was the roof of the car n it was the hood, I corrected her probably six times. Big difference between hood n roof of a Kia

Don’t charge me 500 for something I didn’t do.

I rented a car in Olympia, Wa. I drove home to Oregon (about 3.5 hours) and parked the car in the driveway. Two days later I planned to drive the car to an appointment (at 1pm) but noticed a huge oil spot under the car. I called roadside service. They advised me to drive the car to the nearest open Avis (1 hour away). I informed them that I would not be driving a vehicle with no oil that far. After deliberating back-and-forth for quite some time,, the representative finally agreed with me and said she would “schedule” a tow company to pick up the vehicle and send someone to my home with a replacement vehicle. I hadn’t heard from Avis and nobody showed up to pick the vehicle up by 10 o’clock that evening. So I called roadside assistance again to inquire on the ETA. The representative advised me that the roadside tow request had expired, but he would initiate another request. I received a call from the tow company at one in the morning. The dispatch let me know that they would be at my house within an hour and a half. (2:30 am). I let him know. It was way too late to come at that time. He agreed to come the next morning, which he did. I contacted Avis again the next morning and asked them to cancel my request for a vehicle exchange. The representative told me I would be responsible for all charges through the end of my contract, which was going to be four more days. I explained to him that I wanted to cancel the reservation as soon as the tow truck picked up the vehicle. I didn’t feel I was responsible for any additional charges. I made several calls to Avis within 24 hours. At no time was I ever assured that I would not have to pay additional fees for a vehicle. I didn’t have in my possession. In addition to that, I was also told that I may be responsible for the tow fees. I am still waiting on a final charge. This was my first and only experience with Avis. I will not be a returning customer.
